Colson Kelly (aka Machine Gun Kelly), is a rap artist with a distinct style. Baker was born in Houston, Texas U.S. on 22nd April 1990, to parents of English Scottish German descent. When he was a kid Baker, he spent a good period of his time on the road along with his parents who were missionaries. James Colson Baker battled depression and joblessness, and his Mother Sonia Alane dumped him at age 9. Baker's father moved along with his son to Denver and the family lived at the home of his aunt. Baker was bullied by other kids because of his poverty. Baker began to listen to rap at the age of sixth class. Colson Kelly (also known as Machine Gun Kelly) was born on April 22 1991 in Texas. He is known for fusing hip-hop that is contemporary and alternative with rock music in his compositions. Baker released four mixtapes prior to signing to Bad Boy Records between 2007-2010. The Cleveland rapper, who wrote songs at the speed that of a fast bullet saw an explosive growth when in 2011, he made the switch from self-released mixtapes to established label. From there his career skyrocketed with each of his albums ranking within the top ten.
